Lesson 8 Ephesians 6 

questions  1 and 2 we put  on  a new heart and new submission by putting on  the armor of God as in Ephesians 6;10 -18 and Question 9 

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

Questions 9 all the pieces  of Armor  of God helps defeat  the enemy with faith ,  truth , righteousness and right standing  with God in Christ . ; peace , 

3 how is our society at odds with Pauls teaching in Ephesians 6;1  -4 ? our materialistic   nature instead  teaches  and persuade   us to honor  our children’s  wishes by attempting  to give them  anything they   want  . rather us as children  should honor   our parents to work for and earn the things we want  instead  . 

4 how does a parent discipline  in love ? setting  rules , boundaries,  limits and consequences  for wrong behavior .  

5 what  are   the dangers of being  your childs  best friend  rather than authority  ? they become   entitled; selfish ,  and come to expect the answer yes to everything  they want .. 

6 - 8 the person who not under authority  has no right to exercise authority . 

when you are under the supervision of a parent  or employee  manager they get to decide . 7 what is a Christian Response to  enemies ? we fight them with our  belt of truth  , breast plate of righteousness  , gospel   of peace ,   and shield of faith . 

8 how is the spiritual  battle different   than a human  physical battle ?  its a battle 

with your soul , will and  emotions an inner battle .

ARC blog 7 The positive power in and accepting the answer no .

There's many pieces of advice I'd like to tell to my younger self . First being don't be afraid to be your own person in the shadow of your mom . I spent too much of my life before now in fear of my mom's negativity and disappointment that I forgot to be happy . Only since I turned 30 and started working did I begin to live to be happy . And I'd tell her that the answer no doesn't mean the world is going to end .  The word No is hard to accept . It can demolish our dreams of having a job and being self sufficient ; It can mean we don't get the financial assistance for food, health insurance, and mobility devices we need to improve our health. When we are children , our Parents maybe trying to do what is best for us but saying no.
